Six to nine months, stage by stage

The realistic duration of each stage, and the decision that closes it. Build your document checklist at the bottom.

The sequence

Five stages, and what ends each one

You can stop at the end of any stage. Nothing is charged for a stage that has not begun.

1Week 1

Assessment

A free forty-five minutes, in person or by phone. We read your transcripts, ask who is funding this, and establish whether a plan exists this year or belongs to the next intake.

  • Academic record reviewed against real entry requirements, not marketing pages
  • Budget tested against total first-year cost including living
  • Study gaps, backlogs and grade dips identified and addressed openly
  • English test position established — held, needed, or waivable

Ends when: you have a destination direction and a target intake in writing.

2Weeks 2–3

Shortlist and scope

Eight to twelve programmes across three tiers, costed and dated against your profile. Any service charge is put in writing here, before payment.

  • Programme shortlist with reach, realistic and safe options
  • Scholarship opportunities identified with their own, earlier deadlines
  • Backward deadline map from the closing date to today
  • Written scope of work and itemised charges, if any apply

Ends when: you approve the shortlist and the scope, or walk away owing nothing.

3Weeks 4–14

Documents and applications

The longest stage, and the one that stalls without originals. Attestation chains — board, Education, Foreign Affairs — take weeks and cannot be compressed at the end.

  • Transcript attestation, notarisation and certified translation where required
  • SOP, recommendation letters and academic CV drafted with you
  • Applications filed, logged and tracked across every shortlisted university
  • Follow-up until each decision is issued, with a written record throughout

Ends when: you hold at least one offer letter and have chosen which to accept.

4Weeks 15–22

Visa file and interview

The financial file is built to the standard that mission expects. Then we rehearse until your answers match every document in it — inconsistency, not weakness, is what triggers refusals.

  • Financial documentation with a written source-of-funds narrative
  • Tuition deposit, CAS/LOA/CoE and insurance arranged
  • Visa lodgement, biometrics and panel medical scheduled
  • Mock interviews with feedback, repeated until steady

Ends when: the decision arrives. If it is a refusal, we read the notice with you and decide honestly whether to re-lodge or redirect.

5Weeks 23–26

Departure and first month

Accommodation, flights, forex and the briefing — then the part most consultancies skip: staying reachable through the weeks when registration deadlines and rental scams do the damage.

  • Accommodation leads plus the scams currently running in that city
  • Flight, baggage, forex and remittance planning
  • Residence registration, bank account and SIM guidance
  • Pre-departure briefing on culture, cost of living and campus norms

Ends when: you are enrolled, registered and settled — usually about four weeks after landing.

Tool

Build your document checklist

Pick a destination and a study level. You get the document set that applies to you — core, level, regional and financial — tickable and printable.

A starting set, not a substitute for the mission's official list. We confirm the exact requirements for your course during counselling.

Failure modes

The five things that sink applications

None are about grades. All are avoidable with time.

01

Money that appeared last month

A large deposit with no traceable origin is the commonest reason a Bangladeshi file is refused. Start the financial file six months before you lodge, not six weeks.

02

Starting one intake too late

Attestation, translation, tests and appointments each take weeks, and they queue.

03

An SOP the student cannot defend

If you cannot explain a sentence in your own statement, the file collapses at interview.

04

A course that does not follow from your record

An unexplained change of field reads as a migration motive. Changes are fine — but they must be reasoned and evidenced.

05

One document that contradicts another

A CV that says one thing and an SOP another; a sponsor's income that does not match the tax return. Officers cross-read.

Stage one is free

Bring your transcripts and a real budget figure. Forty-five minutes usually settles whether you move now or aim at the next intake.
